Join us in Prague for the Ultimate Guard European Magic Series Regional Championship from May 29-31, 2026!
Get ready for a fun-filled weekend of Magic: The Gathering in Prague!
While the Ultimate Guard European Magic Series Regional Championship main event is reserved for qualified players competing for spots at the Pro Tour Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes (July 17–19, 2026, MagicCon: Amsterdam) and World Championship, the venue is open to all MTG players.
Kick off the weekend on Friday with our Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) tournaments, offering the final opportunity to earn a spot in the main event!Â
Throughout the weekend, enjoy a full slate of engaging side events and activities at the venue!
Then, on Sunday, all players are invited to compete in the thrilling Ultimate Guard Open tournament, with a total prize pool of $20,000 in which Top 16 finishers will qualify to the next Regional Championship in Ghent.
Need more? The Limited Championship Qualifier will be also open to anyone looking for fierce competition on Sunday!Â
NOTE: This is a cashless event, be ready to pay without cash at the venue!

Regional Championship Tournament Structure
Only qualified players can participate
- Format:Â Standard
- Deck List:Â Open
- Day 1:Â Â 8 Rounds of Swiss
- Players with 18+ Match Points (6+ Wins) advance to Day Two
- Day 2:Â 6 Rounds of Swiss
- Day 2 Top 8:Â Single Elimination Top 8 Playoff
Decklist Submission: Saturday, 30 May, 08:00 CET (local time)
Please submit your decklist on melee.gg before the deadline.
Registration
- Qualified Players will be Preregistered for this event.
- Once Preregistered, players must complete the Registration process to participate in the event. This is a manual process, and is done weekly in batches.
- If you’re qualified for this event, but you’re not showing as preregistered, please open a ticket at our customer support
- Registration for the Regional Championship closes at 20:00 CET on Thursday, 28th May 2026.
- Players who wish to enter after this deadline will be enrolled with a loss for their first round.
- LCQ winners will be manually enrolled by the organiser after winning their LCQ.
- Players must have their Wizards Account Email in their Melee.gg profile in order to enroll.
Decklists
- Decklists must be submitted through the Player Controller on Melee.gg.
- Decklists are due at 8:00 CET on Saturday, 30th May 2026.
- Failure to submit a decklist on time will result in Tardiness penalties.
All participants for this round of Regional Championships will receive a non-foil Emberheart Challenger promo card with art by CHOGRIN, with Top Finishers receiving traditional foil copies. You can find more info about promo cards here!Â
Last Chance Qualifiers
Last Chance Qualifier tournaments will be held on Friday. These will give players a final opportunity to win an invitation to the main event.
