From competitive tournaments to unique Limited experiences and Marvel-themed events, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to keep playing all weekend long. Whatever your plans, you have a multitude of events to enjoy besides “just” the Main Event.

Competition High Stakes and Low - Magic Throughout the Weekend
Not every player travels to Brussels with the Main Event in mind. Many come specifically for the incredible variety of competitive Side Events, where the atmosphere is slightly more relaxed while still offering meaningful prizes and unforgettable gameplay. It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced Duel Commander player or a Limited specialist chasing qualification; there are plenty of reasons to arrive early and stay all weekend.

Duel Commander With MTG Prime
One of the biggest additions to Spotlight Series Brussels is an expanded Duel Commander program. Rather than offering a single tournament, Duel Commander runs across the entire weekend, allowing players of every experience level to get involved.
The weekend begins on Friday with two Duel Commander Trial events. These serve as the perfect warm-up while also giving players valuable competitive practice before Saturday’s headline tournament.
Saturday features the Duel Commander Main Event, where players will compete over multiple Swiss rounds followed by a playoff to crown the weekend’s champion. The Duel Commander Main Event is expected to bring together some of Europe’s strongest Duel Commander players, with tens of thousands of prize tickets on the line.
The action continues on Sunday with the Duel Commander Rebound event, giving everyone another opportunity to enjoy one of Magic’s many formats. Duel Commander is especially big in France, and we are more than happy to help grow the player base in Europe. Duel Commander is popular largely thanks to its unique combination of singleton deck-building, one-on-one gameplay, and an ever-evolving meta game. Spotlight Series Brussels provides one of the largest stages for the format this season, making it an ideal destination for dedicated Duel Commander players. The Mystery Returns - Mystery Booster 2
For many players, simply getting the opportunity to play with Mystery Booster 2 is reason enough to make the trip. Unlike standard Magic releases, Mystery Booster 2 isn’t available through normal retail channels, making conventions like these one of the few places where players can experience it. But what exactly is Mystery Booster 2?
Created as a convention-exclusive product, Mystery Booster 2 celebrates Magic’s nearly 30-year history by bringing together more than 1,800 cards from across dozens of sets into a single Limited environment. Every booster contains a carefully curated mix of cards from different eras of the game, meaning no two drafts are ever the same.
Part of what makes the set so beloved is its sheer unpredictability. Alongside iconic reprints, boosters can contain Future Sight-style cards, nostalgic white-bordered reprints, and probably the set’s most signature feature: play-test cards. These experimental designs were inspired by Wizards of the Coast’s internal play-testing process and feature quirky mechanics, funny community and game references, and fun and wacky effects not seen anywhere else in Magic: The Gathering. This blend of flavour, chaos, curated card selection and Limited play design creates memorable moments that simply don’t exist in traditional Limited formats. One of our favourite moments is always walking around the room and seeing the bizarre board states that only Mystery Booster can produce.
At Magic Spotlight: Marvel Super Heroes, you’ll have many opportunities to dive into the mystery with both Mystery Booster 2 Draft and Mystery Booster 2 Sealed Deck events. Whether you’re hoping to revisit old favourites, experience bizarre play-test cards for the first time, or simply enjoy one of Magic’s most unique Limited formats, these events are not to be missed.
Ultimate Collector Extravaganza
If opening premium Magic product is your favourite part of any release, the Ultimate Collector Extravaganza is designed with exactly that in mind. A fan favourite activity at Fanfinity events, this premium tournament uses Collector Boosters to create an unforgettable Limited experience packed with showcase treatments, alternate artwork, textured foils, extended-art cards, and some of the most exciting versions of cards available in modern Magic sets. Likewise, this also happens to be one of the loudest events of the weekend, as players discover their chase cards they would only dare to dream of opening.
We have a wide variety of products from sets old and new, all culminating in an epic, high-powered, high rarity experience. Every draft feels different depending on the Collector Boosters you open. One table might be filled with showcase treatments and textured foils, while another is packed with iconic reprints and alternate art. Half the fun is seeing what everyone opens before you’ve even played your first round.
Super Sealed Deck – Seventeen Packs of Possibilities
Sometimes bigger really is better. The Super Sealed Deck takes traditional sealed Magic and turns the dial all the way up. Instead of building from the standard six booster packs, players receive an incredible 17 booster packs to construct their deck.
Why 17 booster packs? These are currently all the sets legal in Standard! With nearly three times the normal card pool, players can explore ambitious mana bases, powerful synergies, splash exciting bombs, and build decks that simply wouldn’t be possible in traditional Limited formats.
How will you produce synergy across sets, how likely are you to build a five-colour limited deck, and just how many rares can you play? This has been another fan favourite Fanfinity speciality event, and we love seeing just how crazy you can make your decks. Whether you’re chasing incredible rares or just want to experience one of the most extravagant sealed tournaments around, Super Sealed delivers exactly that.
Teamup Time - Marvel Super Heroes Full Box Team Trios
Closing out the weekend is one of the biggest attractions among the Marvel side events. Taking a note from the Team Trios main event, we have our Marvel Super Heroes Full Box Team Trios.
Available exclusively on Sunday, the 26th, the Marvel Super Heroes Full Box Team Trios event has you and two teammates building three limited decks out of an entire box of Marvel Super Heroes. Did you like having those 1-2 bomb uncommons? How about potentially 4? Want playsets of your low-cost characters, or want to equip 3 Hawkeye’s Bows? Now you just might be able to.
It’s a fitting finale to the Spotlight Series weekend and a fantastic opportunity for you and your friends to celebrate this iconic set and this amazing weekend, doing what card gamers love doing the most, cracking packs and playing games.
Embrace The Community
As much as we all love competing, some of the best memories from a convention happen between rounds. Catching up with friends, meeting new people, trading stories about your latest draft, or just wandering around the venue to see what’s happening is all part of the Spotlight Series experience.

You can always look forward to a jam-packed schedule filled with events to your heart’s content. You are able to battle through the Main Event before joining a Mystery Booster Draft, spend Saturday competing in Duel Commander, open seventeen packs in Super Sealed on Sunday, or gather your friends for one of the Marvel Team events to round out the weekend.
The Main Event might bring everyone to Brussels, but it’s often the side events people remember most. You could be opening seventeen packs in Super Sealed, drafting Mystery Booster 2, or spending Sunday battling alongside your friends in Team Trios.
