The Magic Spotlight Series is a large, multi-day celebration that spotlights a specific theme at each event. Just as exciting as the events themselves, each Magic Spotlight Series stop will feature side events, meet&greets with artists, vendors, and a flagship main tournament—a two-day open event that features a $50,000 prize pool, a sweet promo card, and invitations to the an upcoming Magic Pro Tour event for the Top 8 finishers.

Entry into the hall is free!
If you wish to participate in the Main Event or Side Events, you require a ticket. Tickets for all activities are limited.

A 2-day competition starting on Saturday, players will take part in this Standard Constructed event to celebrate Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man and to compete for part of $50,000.
Only players who have enough match points may compete on the second day of competition on Sunday.

Format: Standard Constructed (2 days)
Saturday: 9 rounds, 18 points to advance to Sunday
Sunday: After 6 rounds, the Top 8 advance to a single-elimination playoff.

Join ShivanArt’s introduction to card altering!

Shivan’s workshop on altering MTG cards is back! A new class will be held at the Spotlight Series in Liverpool on Saturday, 1 November, for three hours, from 10:00 to 13:00.
The course will begin with a brief introduction, during which Shivan will share her professional tips and tricks, as well as process for painting and altering cards. The main part of the lesson will then be a live demonstration, with students practising extended art or basic characters.
All materials, including brushes and colors, will be provided by Shivan.
You can bring your own if you wish, but this is not necessary. After the workshop, Shivan will also conduct portfolio reviews for those who require it!

The Magic Spotlight Series is a large, multi-day celebration that will spotlight a specific theme at each event, and elements of that theme will influence the weekend’s events. Just as exciting as the events themselves, each Magic Spotlight Series stop will feature a flagship main tournament—a two-day open event that features a $50,000 prize pool, a sweet promo card, and invitations to an upcoming Magic Pro Tour event for the Top 8 finishers.
2025 will feature eight Magic Spotlight Series events in total:
- Five in the United States, hosted by StarCityGames.com
- Two in Europe, hosted by Fanfinity
- One in Japan, hosted by BIG MAGIC
Magic Spotlight Series stops will also feature side events, vendors, special guests, and more at the discretion of the hosting organizer. As more information about each Magic Spotlight event becomes public, please refer to the organizer’s event information page for all the details on this front.
The first European event took place from March 15 to 16 2025 in Utrecht!
The second European Spotlight Series will be held in Liverpool from October 31 to November 2 2025.
